I don’t think I’ve ever been this impatient in my life — and honestly, it’s the best kind of impatience. Our house is officially on our land. Our homestead dream is no longer just a plan or a someday… it’s real now. And all I want to do is move in, start canning, and finally restock my brand-new pantry from top to bottom.
I can picture it perfectly: rows of jars, shelves overflowing with home-canned food, the smell of something bubbling on the stove — a kitchen that feels alive again. But right now, we’re in that awkward in-between stage.
The guys are out on the land starting renovations, and I’m at home with the babies. And don’t get me wrong — I love these little ones with every piece of my heart. But it’s hard seeing the work happening and not being able to jump in. I want to be there with a hammer or a broom, helping move things forward and doing my part.
Instead, I’m cheering from the sidelines… and waiting. And waiting.
But here’s the beautiful thing: while I’m home caring for the kids, I’m also building something else — something that’s helping make all of this possible.
My digital marketing business.
This is the part I want people to understand.
In between bottles, naps, snacks, and diaper changes… I’m building our income online. I’m creating content. I’m running my homesteading brand. I’m sharing what we do and teaching others how to build a digital income just like we are.
There are days I’m sitting on the floor, baby in my lap, typing with one hand — and still making money online.
And that blows my mind.
Because the truth is, this is how we’re doing it.
This is how we’re moving our home, renovating, building a homestead, and preparing to live the life we’ve dreamed about:

Every time I get an update — “We opened this wall,” “We moved this,” “Renovations are starting here” — I feel this mix of excitement and pride. Because yes, the guys are building the house… but I’m building the foundation that keeps everything running.
This season is messy, busy, emotional, and full of waiting. But it’s also powerful. I may not be outside lifting lumber, but I’m lifting us in another way — by growing our digital income brick by brick, post by post, sale by sale.
And soon… it will all come together.
I’ll be in my new kitchen, canning nonstop, stocking that pantry like a woman on a mission. And in the background — my digital business will still be running, still earning, still supporting everything we’re doing.
This isn’t just a homestead story.
It’s a homestead + digital income story.
It’s proof that a rural mom, a foster mama, a homesteader at heart can build both — a home and an online business — at the same time.
So yes… I’m impatient.
Yes… I’m ready to move in yesterday.
Yes… I want to be out there renovating instead of watching from afar.
But I also know I’m exactly where I need to be — building the part of our life that will give us freedom long after the last board is nailed down.
The house is on our land.
The renovations have begun.
The pantry is waiting.
