Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a southern girl at heart. I’m originally from a little town just outside Atlanta, Georgia. I thought it was little until I moved to Canada! For the past 28 years, I’ve been living here. I am a proud wife and mother of four amazing boys. Now, I am also a grandma to three precious grandbabies. Life has been a beautiful, busy ride—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’ve always had a passion for creativity, whether it’s designing and quilting by hand, cooking from scratch in my favorite place (my kitchen!), or tending to my garden and preserving the harvest. I love the simple things in life—especially when they bring peace, purpose, and connection to nature.
For the past nine years, my husband and I have been living completely off-grid in rural northern Manitoba. We power our home with solar panels, wind, and a backup generator. We’re now starting an exciting new chapter. We are building a brand-new homestead that’s fully designed around our off-grid lifestyle. It’s a big project, but it’s rooted in everything we believe in: health, sustainability, and living intentionally.
Alongside homesteading, I also run a successful online business from home. I’ve utilized digital marketing. I have created multiple streams of online income. This way, I’ve been able to help support our family while still living close to the land. It’s been such a blessing to build a life that allows me to be present. I feel purposeful and financially free. I have achieved this without ever leaving home.
I’m so glad you’re here. You might be interested in learning about homesteading. Maybe off-grid living or cooking from scratch appeals to you. Perhaps you want to preserve your own food, or you’re starting your own online income journey. I’m excited to share our story with you. I hope you’ll join us on this journey to simple, self-sufficient, and joy-filled living.
Let’s grow together—on and off the grid!
